Ending Ties & Butterflies

Well, I am now officially a high school graduate. Crazy to think that the past 12 years of public schooling is now over! But,,, I am definitely looking forward to everything that life has to offer:) Especially NOT having to wake up at 5:00am for attendance school! ha. These past few weeks of school @ Pleasant Grove High have been some of the best:) What with the senior ditch day, yearbook party (which was stupid cause my friend & I got kicked out because our shorts were apparently too short... oops), graduation, senior dinner dance, senior all-nighter (this was last night... still suffering from lack of sleep), & saying goodbye to all my amazing friends & teachers that I've grown close to throughout HS! With all of that in the past three weeks, it's been surreal with everything going on! & now that it's all settled down, I'm realizing how much my life will change in a matter of months! This change that will be happening will be great though! I've always been one to dive into change head first & this will be no different! Bring it on, Universe:) I'm ready:)

A Series Of Unfortunate Events

This past Friday was my schools "Senior Ditch Day" & for that day, all the seniors meet at the high school and take a bus down to Lagoon! While this day has been well anticipated by my friends & me for quite some time, I still found it possible to miss the bus... Of course this would be something that would happen to me!! Well okay I'll admit it WAS my fault, but still. So as I wake up & realize that I'm supposed to be boarding the bus in exactly 20 minutes, I find it appropriate to jump in the shower... Yeah, I know what your thinking. No shower, just go!!! & while I wish I could have that sort of self confidence to just wake up and go to school & have everyone see me in the rawest form possible, I refused. So as I was in the shower, washing my hair (while using up the very last of my sisters shampoo) I got a call from my best friend Taylor. She said that the bus is going to leave in ten minutes and that if I hurry I could make it!! So I hurriedly finish my shower, stuff all my make up & things into a backpack so I could get ready on the bus, & rush out the door! As I am on my way, I kid you not, my gas pedal spent most of its' time flat on the floor! I was driving as fast as I could! While praying that no police officer would be on the same route I was taking. While I didn't get pulled over, I did manage to make it to the high school JUST AS THE BUSES WERE PULLING OUT!!!! I was furious! I literally passed them five seconds too late. So what else was a girl in my position to do, but follow these buses 'in my not-so-reliable, needing-a-tune-up VW bug' all the way to Lagoon, about 45 minutes north of where we now were. Speeding down the freeway, listening to Ingrid Michaelson on my iPod (because I don't have speakers in my car) I would say that I was a little more than confident... Well, again I was pushing my car a little further than it wanted to go, & this time... my car gave up. I was losing power, & losing it fast, so I decided to pull over to the side of the freeway. As the over-confident teenager as I am, I decided to call my daddy:) haha. & as soon as he got my call he was on his way to my rescue! When he got me, he drove me to Lagoon to be with my friends & I had a wonderful rest of the day:) Minus the slight rain... Okay, minus the not-so-slight rain. ha:) Overall... great day:)

Zoey&Logan

These two kids add more happiness to my life than almost anything:):)

School Shmool!!

Is it just me or is it harder to go to the last two weeks of high school than every single other day combined!?! I seriously have NO MORE willpower anymore!!! I didn't go to school yesterday, I only went to seminary today, and it's only Tuesday!! Last week I went to about 6 periods.... ALL WEEK! Ahh... I am so ready to graduate it's not even funny. I couldn't honestly care less about my classes, I just want to pass. My dad even said that if I miss any more days I can't go to college... Little does he know, I haven't been to a full day of school in weeks. {Good thing he works full time so he has no idea} & Since I hardly go to school anymore I paid my older brother five bucks to excuse all my absences. haha. Illegal, maybe. Worth it, definitely. Anyways, now I have to go to attendance school. Surprise, surprise! I'm in there 95% of the days anyways. I will be happy when it is over!!:) Oh so happy!!!

Melodic Monday:) I

James Mc Morrow, your voice swoons me... I absolutely love this song! Thought I'd share:)
From now on I think I will post a song {good, maybe bad} every single Monday:) & I as of late, I cannot get enough of this song! Or all his music for that matter!? Ahh, his voice is simply amazing:):) I love it. This song makes me want to push replay about five kagillion times, fast forward the next nineteen months, and have/make lots of babies:) TMI? Too late. The end.

Some pics:)

 My new haircut:) A before & after!
Love it or hate it??:)
I kind of love it!

This is my baby bug:):) I love her...
B. T. & I got in a little bit of trouble for driving it on the track though, but so worth it:)

Your mountain is waiting, so... get on your way!

Goodbyes are not easy... Not by a long shot! And yesterday I had to say goodbye to 25 of my sisters. {Not literally... That would be weird} These sisters were a part of the 2011-2012 Pleasant Grove Cheer Team:) Ahh. & I love them so much! It was so hard saying goodbye at the banquet, but I know they have an AMAZING cheer year ahead of them:) They will always have a special place in my heart:) About 95% of all my high school memories were associated with cheer in some way and they will never be forgotten. But aside from all the mushy hugs, & tear stained cheeks, it was a wonderful night.
We had our end-of-the-year banquet at a little place called barbwire & lace. It was catered by Cafe Zupas!! My absolute FAVORITE cafe of all time!:) We laughed, cried, gave out awards, posed for pictures, announced next years leadership, and had a great time:)
The one thing that always gets to me every year is when my coach, Cami, reads to us, Oh, the Places You'll Go! It is such an amazing feeling to know that your coach truly cares about you and your well being:) She is such a fantastic person and I will forever have her as an amazing example:)

362 days later...

Hi all!! So... it has definitely been a while. {Too long for my liking.} But I will start this post by saying I hope to NEVER AGAIN  go this long without making a riveting new post:) Hopefully:) Because blogging is one of those things that opens your mind to the many possibilities and beauties that life has to offer! SO... with that being said, I will now make my first post in about a year!

This past year has been crazy! I have gone from being a know-it-all seventeen-year-old Junior in High School, to an airhead eighteen-year-old getting ready to graduate! Which is ironic, because you would think that with age comes maturity, but through my endeavors I have found the opposite to be true... I seem to have just been taking life less seriously as time goes by and I find that some things are less important than others:) It has definitely taken the stress out of my life! Ha. But we'll see how it all works out in the end!

& now I would like to take a moment and brag about all the amazing things that have happened in the past year of my life, since the last time we have met:
  • I graduated from Young Womens & am now in Relief Society!!! Crazy, I know:) {I have visiting teachers and everything!}
  • I turned eighteen and am now OFFICIALLY and adult
  • My loving father bought me my baby bug! {name suggestions would be highly appreciated}
  • The love of my life, Court, left on a mission... I <3 him:)
  • My brother, sister-n-law, & their two amazing children, Zoey & Logan moved in with us
  • I got nationally certified as a Phlebotomist! Jessica Nelson, NCPT:)
  • I registered for Southern Utah University & will be going into Graphic Design!
  • I have the most amazing friends and family!:)
  • Last, but not least {okay, maybe least} I have realized my love & overabundant use of exclamation marks and smiley faces!!!:)
So... That's basically where I am at in my life at the moment:) Nice talkin to ya:)
